Baoding is a special city, it was always treated the south gate of Beijing.

And Beijing was the capital for many dynasties in the Chinese history.

So No matter the commercial or the industry or the culture or the military of baoding city is more develop than other usual small city.

And the local people likes to martial art, they need many different weapons. And the smaller solid iron ball can be as concealed weapons to throw to the opposite side ; the bigger one can be as health tool to exercise the arm and hand’s strength.

Then many workshops started to make all sizes of iron balls. Gradually, started to make the hollow ball with chiming plate, can emit lovely chiming. It was liked by Qianlong  Emperor,  he always played it when he was tired.  He thought this pair ball was helpful to exercise and relax . Then Baoding iron ball was popular as the gift and the hand massage tool.  

People will always take some pairs as gift if they visit some friends in other places. Then the baoding chiming ball was more popular than before, even was taken to overseas ,liked by many foreigners.

But bcoz only very seldom local workers can make this ball, especially the cloisonne skills, however other cities have not this skills to make the ball.  Thus, the baoding balls are still only produced in Baoding city now. And our company is insisting on making all kinds of Chinese baoding balls for our love world. We will be always on the way......
